Technical note: Blogger sucks

Blogger sucks. It's unreliable, overly complex, the documentation is out of date, the site alternates between slow or not working at all, so I've decided to abandon using it. Instead I'm going to do my own blog thingy in HTML. If this is successful, I'll hopefully get round to uploading some pictures too.

This means that I might not be able to update it as frequently, since I'll have to establish an FTP connection with the server each time. I'll keep on writing as we go, but I might have to upload several posts at once each time.

I'm currently using Portable Firefox as a browser, running it off my USB key. This means much more privacy from other users in the internet cafés, as well as a better browser than usually provided, that isn't all in Chinese characters.

Unfortunately the FTP extension for Firefox doesn't work in the portable version, so if anyone knows of any FTP client I could stick on the USB key, I'd be most grateful if you could tell me.
